Hebrews 11 anchors these Bible verses about faith with its definition of faith as the substance of things hoped for, and the rest of the list fills that definition out. Romans connects faith to being put right with God, the Gospels record Jesus commending it in unlikely people and asking after it in his own disciples, and James insists it shows up in what you actually do. Several of these scriptures on faith are about small faith rather than great faith, including the mustard seed, which is probably the more useful end of the subject.
